As a freelance videographer and photographer, I would approach local restaurants in my area and filmed their inspiring stories of how these self-made immigrants were able to start their restaurants from humble beginnings. I helped transition them into the digital space by building online ordering websites that were integrated to their point of sale system. Whenever an online oder was placed, a ticket would print out in the kitchen. To ensure a return on investment, I would drive traffic by running video Facebook ads to their online ordering website. I started offering my services for free so I could learn the process of filmmaking, while learning the fundamentals of social media marketing. The following are their inspirational stories.
This is the best performing restaurant related video that I made. It went viral in Mexico after only 3 days. All views were organic, so no money was spent boosting the post. My inspiration came from the documentary style content I would see on YouTube showcasing different restaurants and their respective owners.
